Steven universe sworn to the sword
Ahh, you guys, look at that awesome new title sequence! I know a couple of people predicted that there would be a new version of the theme song now that all of the Gems had changed their appearance—hats off to you. It encapsulates one of the best things about Steven Universe —the way the show is willing to evolve as it progresses, willing to comment on and wink at its own history and finding fun and seriousness in itself at the same time. One of those details? I mean, the thing is basically at Cloud Strife proportions.

Steven Universe - Sworn to the Sword (Clip 1)
Steven and Connie are having a mini picnic and literal Jam session up on the Temple hand where the laundry is. As they finish playing their ukulele and violin respectively, Steven goes to have a biscuit with jam. Before he can have a bite, seagulls divebomb them, but Connie draws the bow of her violin and swings it like a sword, driving them off!
Greg and Amethyst are both fun and messy, are both accused of being far more irresponsible than they actually are, and both harbor insecurities about their shortcomings. In this case, our subjects are both huge nerds, which we see in their intelligence and intense passion. But seriously, watch that clip again and only listen to the instruments. Brilliant stuff. This is why I say this is a Pearl episode a bit more than it is a Connie one.
