Adult rabbits
Your rabbits' diet plan should include clean water and at least one bundle, about the size of your pet, of high-quality hay per day. On the side, you can also provide a controlled portion of leafy greens and commercial pellets. An adult-sized handful of washed, dark leafy greens and between one or two egg cups of pellets a day depending on your pet's size is appropriate. Plus, your rabbits' should have access to growing grass for grazing. Additionally, the occasional small amount of carrot or apple can also be given as an occasional treat! Rabbits must have an adult-sized handful of safe washed leafy green vegetables, herbs and weeds daily.

Rabbit Life Stages
Many people are surprised to find that rabbits rarely conform to the cute-n-cuddly stereotype in children's stories. Baby bunnies and many young adult rabbits are too busy dashing madly about, squeezing behind furniture, and chewing baseboards and rugs to be held. Domestic rabbits have unique personalities that make them wonderful indoor companions. In addition, rabbits are social animals, meaning they need the companionship of humans or other animals, although the need may vary among individual rabbbits.

Just like people, bunnies enjoy a good meal. A nice mix of hay, vegetables, pellets, as well as fresh water will make your rabbit healthy and happy. Read on for more information about what to feed your pet rabbit. Adult rabbits can eat timothy, grass, and oat hays, while younger rabbits should be fed alfalfa. Alfalfa should not be given to adult rabbits because of the higher protein and sugar content.
